Guild Rules

Death Cleave

Code of Conduct

(Revision 1.4)

Death Cleave has only a few simple rules that must be followed.

  • Don’t be a dick.  While we can (and will) have fun busting each other’s chops, we want to make our guild an enjoyable place to be.  Do not make racist remarks, flame, troll, or rage in Guild Chat, Discord, forums, etc.  However, feel free to kill, pillage, camp, and grief Alliance on the server as much as you like.

  • Take care of our own.  If someone says in guild chat they are being camped and you are not in a BG, RBG, Raid, Dungeon, etc.  Then rally some people and go help them.  We are Death Cleave, and hitting one of us has consequences.  On the flip side, if you frequently yolo into Stormwind and then want people to play "Saving Private Ryan" with your ass, don't get upset if people aren't jumping for joy to go help you.

  • Make the people around you better, and want to be better yourself.  If someone has bad DPS, or is breaking CC’s don’t flame at them.  Reach out to them and explain in a positive manner what is going on.  By the same token if someone reaches out to you one on one and tries to help, listen to them and don’t be thin skinned.  Someone is not going to talk to you about things like that unless there is a real issue.  Take what they say in a positive manner and learn from it.  They are just trying to help you.

  • Don’t be a thief.  Do not ninja loot even in pugs and do not take anything out of the guild bank unless you actually need it.

  • If you sign up, show up.  Emergencies happen we get that, also life happens and it is >WOW.  Sign up for things you plan to attend and make it or at least give the guild notice if something comes up.  Also, signing up for something as “Tentative” will not hold a spot if there is someone else willing to fully sign up.  When an event is scheduled for a certain time that means the plan is to be grouped and begin at that time.  Plan accordingly.

  • This is a drama free zone.  If there is an issue in game ask for help.  If your spouse beats you with a monkey wrench call a cop, don't try and rustle up white knights/knight-ets in g-chat.  You got a beef with someone, whisper them, don’t air dirty laundry in guild chat.  We don’t have enough /popcorn in the guild bank for us all to eat while two people try to type mean things at each other.  Remember, drama and rage are the fastest ways to get gkicked.

Everything mentioned above is really basic and will result in being removed from the guild.  All decisions made by officers of the guild will be final.
